Helpful tips sarahk1973 Uncategorized 23rd Jun 2019 1 Minute View this post on Instagram I kept hearing the word inflammation but never knew exactly how it made endo bad or how to fix it. Which kind of left me doing nothing about it until I learned this: Inflammation is key for survival and saves us from physical injury, infection and acute illnesses by sending much needed blood, enzymes and nutrients to the affected site. It creates heat and you can feel pain but this is all temporary. Chronic illness and stress however creates an environment of low grade inflammation that is also chronic…. And they do well together. Hence pain, swelling and stiffness in affected areas. The healing of chronic illness and its symptoms includes being able to reduce inflammation in the body (as its usually not just one spot). Getting normal blood flow and reducing swelling in the cells. How you can do it is simple (not always easy but it can be done) through eating an anti inflammatory diet with little to none processed foods and sugar. And then there are lifestyle changes that also help. Sleeping well, managing stress (directly increases inflammation because your body reacts as if you need to be saved), moving and reducing toxins. I hope you find this post helpful and the tips are something you can try to implement this week.
